Armament consists of 8 single heavy turbolaser turrets, 10 dual heavy laser turrets, 10 quad medium laser turrets and 2 tractor beam emitters. The Neutron Star is 600 meters in length, crewed by 2,000 beings and able to carry 200 passengers, plus up to 2,000 standard tons of cargo. In the present day, most Neutron Stars that survive represent this later configuration. Originally, the type was a "pure" capital ship, with an extensive turbolaser armament and no ability to carry starfighters, however after the Clone Wars many of these craft fell into the hands of the Rebel Alliance, who modified them as medium carriers, sacrificing their armament and a large proportion of the cargo space to install internal hangar bays.
The type was primarily sold to local system and sector defense forces during the Republic era, and was used by well-off mercenaries in later years. DESCRIPTIONThe Neutron Star-class bulk cruiser is a capital ship originally manufactured by Rendili StarDrive in the decades prior to the Clone Wars.
